Is ultrasound scanning safe?Yes, absolutely. Ultrasound scans are widely recognised as safe for both mother and baby. At Genesis New Beginnings, we use the same high-quality Samsung ultrasound equipment found in NHS hospitals. Our machines are checked daily to ensure a safe and effective service. Two, three, and four-dimensional ultrasound has been extensively used for many years. There is no current evidence of any biological risk to mother and foetus associated with obstetric ultrasound scans. (Obstetric ultrasound, biological effects and safety (No 160, June 2005) SOGC clinical practice guidelines from JOGC). Full compliance with BMUS recommended scan times will be adhered to at all times. For more information download from link below our free info guide "Is Scanning Safe".

What types of scans do you offer? We offer a full range of scan options, including 2D (traditional), 3D, 4D (real-time 3D video), and HD/Live, depending on your chosen package. 3D visuals are posed "photos," while 4D adds motion, and HD/Live delivers enhanced detail and realism.

How do I work out how many weeks I am?👉 Go to our Due Date Calculator page where you can enter a couple of simple details and instantly find out your estimated due date and how many weeks along you are. Prefer to double-check? No problem! You can also use the official NHS Due Date Calculator for added reassurance. To estimate how many weeks pregnant you are, you’ll typically start counting from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP) — not the date of conception. This is the standard method used by most healthcare professionals, including the NHS. To make things easier, we’ve created a helpful tool to do the maths for you!
